Issuance Fee Increase

The Ministry of Attorney General is making regulatory changes, taking effect on January 1, 2023.

  1. The fee to issue a Writ of Seizure and Sale [Form 60A, Rules of Civil Procedure] will increase from $73.00 to $77.00. Following this, the total cost to issue and file a Writ of Seizure and Sale using WritFiling will be $214.23.
  1. The fee to issue a Writ of Seizure and Sale of Land [Form 20D, Rules of the Small Claims Court] will increase from $64.00 to $68.00. Following this, the total cost to issue and file a Writ of Seizure and Sale of Land using WritFiling will be $205.23.

On or before January 1, 2023, a list of all amended and new court fees will be made available at the Ministry of the Attorney General website, Courts and court services | ontario.ca, under the heading Court Fees. Regulations under the Administration of Justice Act are also available on the e-laws website at www.e-laws.gov.on.ca.

Please note that this increase does not impact the $32.95 Teranet WritFiling® Fee for electronic issuing and filing of a writ of seizure and sale/writ of seizure and sale of land.
